An unusually large crowd of over 240 bicycle enthusiasts met us at Tyger River Presbuterian church on Saturday, September 10, 2011 for a day of great cycling.
Riders enjoyed beautiful blue skies and mild temperatures as they followed the paw prints along both the 28 or 62 mile courses. The beautiful rolling farm country of southwest Spartanburg County and the lightly traveled secondary roads were the perfect place for a ride. After the event, everyone was treated to a hot dog luncheon complete with all the fixings.
This year we are happy to report that we raised over $10,400 from this event. All rider fees go directly to the SHS and are used for the benefit of animals in the community.
Check out our photo gallery from this year and see how much fun everyone has at this excellent event! Mark your calendar for Tour de Paws 2012 on September 8th, 2012. We hope to see you there!
