Humane Education Assistant

Help Share Knowledge That Helps Pets

As an education volunteer, your job will be to assist the Humane Education Coordinator to inform audiences (from preschoolers to adults) about SHS services and heighten awareness of ways people can help animals. 

Our education programs emphasize responsible pet care, pet overpopulation issues, and compassion for all living things.

Training:   

1. Complete a Volunteer Application 
2. Attend a Volunteer Orientation Session
3. Interview with Humane Education Coordinator

Commitment:

Humane Education volunteers act as public ambassadors at speaking engagements. Events generally last for one to two hours and are scheduled as requested.
