The Spartanburg Humane Society (SHS) Veterinary Clinic is now offering low-income pet owners access to affordable, quality health care services for their pets.
Preventative health care is as important for your pet to maintain good health as it is for you. An annual physical exam, vaccines, and parasite prevention are important for the overall good health of your pets.
Pets who do not receive veterinary care are at risk. Some pet owners make the difficult decision to surrender their pets to the SHS because they cannot afford treatment for correctable and preventable problems. We are expanding our services to help these pet owners keep their companions healthy and at home.
If you think you cannot afford to give your pet the care it needs, please call the SHS Veterinary Clinic today!
New services available to qualifying pet owners include preventative care and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries.
Unfortunately, we are not able to accept patients for major surgery or emergency care
In order to qualify for veterinary services, pet owners should be prepared to provide any one of the following:
1. Written proof of benefits from one of the following programs or services:
2. Proof of low income from most recent income tax statement or pay slip. We follow federal poverty guidelines. See if you qualify.
3. Written third party verification of very low income or no income from the Department of Human Services, Office of Senior Affairs, or any homeless shelter or food bank.
Office appointments are available Monday through Friday from 1:30 to 5:15
Appointments can be made online, or by calling the clinic at 864-583-4805 ext. 115. Due to heavy call volume, you may have to leave a message, but we will call you back as soon as we are able.
First time clients will need to show proof of financial need by one of the methods listed above.
